We are looking for Native English Teachers and Teaching Assistants for our on-going demand in Hong Kong.   Hong Kong is the most westernized and well developed city in China, the window to oriental worlds.  The median monthly household income in Hong Kong 2006 was $17,250.00, based on a censes done in 2006.

 

1. ESL Teachers

 

Minimum Applicant Requirements:

  • A bachelor degree, major in English, Commerce and related subjects preferred.

  • Native English Speaking

  • An Outspoken and Responsible Person

  • Willing to Teach in Hong Kong for an Academic Year (10 months) under Contract

  • Teaching certification, or ESL/EFL teacher certification (we may assist in getting certified)

  • Preference is given to those with recent teaching experience.

Salary
 

Salaries are based on a monthly rate of HK$19,000 and are paid each month in Hong Kong (current exchange rate is about HK$6.5 = CAD$1, that's monthly salary about CAD$3,000). 

In addition to the monthly salary, the followings are included in the contracts:

  • Health coverage: Maximum of HK$2,000 per school year, reimbursement.

  • Air Fare: International and domestic return airfare (economy class, no stop over) from the airport closest to where the teacher lives to Hong Kong will be reimbursed after successful completion of one school year contract.

  • Visa: Working Visa (one time entry) will be arranged by the institute in Hong Kong

  • Teaching Duties: Teaching contracts are for up to 40 hours per week. Number of hours and teaching schedules are determined by the school and issued to teachers upon arrival, at the beginning of each term.

  • Contract Length: Contracts are made for one school year (or the remaining of it).

  • Contract Renewal: The option to renew is by mutual agreement.

  • Income Tax: Please contact the Revenue Department in your country to inquire about taxation rules for working overseas.

  • Health Care: The health coverage that is provided in the contract is limited to the amount listed in each contract.  It is up to individuals to arrange additional out of country health coverage if they so choose.

Minimum Applicant Requirements:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Has an average of 85 marks in English subject.

  • Native English Speaking

  • An Outspoken and Responsible Person

  • Willing to Teach in Hong Kong for an Academic Year (10 months) under Contract

  • Preference is given to those with recent teaching experience.

Documents Required  (Documents will be forwarded to Hong Kong)
